Bruno Vinezof – Bruno is a native of Pernambuco-Brazil. Born in Olinda, a city where the traditional arts and culture are stronger than ever, Bruno has extensive experience with music. He has participated in ensembles performing Brazilian music like Afoxé, maracatu, forró and coco, as well as in modern bands - always with the influences of his musical roots. He has played with artists such as: Rabecado, Azabumba, Quarteto Olinda, Renata Rosa, Cascabulho, Pandeiro do Mestre, Mestre Zé Neguinho do Coco, Spock Frevo, Maciel Salu, Alessandra Leão, Mestre Luiz Paixão, Quarteto Olinda, Claudio Rabeca, and many others, including many masters of traditional music. He currently lives in Austin, TX and performs with Grupo Massa, Mente Clara, Forro de Quintal, Maracatu Texas, GATO6, Leticia Rodriguez, Seu Jacinto and others.. Recently he was ranked between the 10 best percussionists/drummers in Austin-TX and he won with Grupo Massa, band he is part of, the Austin Music Award of best world music band of 2018/2019.

Adrian (Adriano) Crookston is an Italian-American accordion player from Moscow, Idaho. He picked up accordion while his family was living in Italy. Adrian was exposed to forró shortly after he moved to Austin, Texas in 2011, when he joined the forró band Gente Boa. Because he was still underage while playing in bars and clubs, the band gave him the nickname ‘Menor da Sanfona,’ or simply ‘Menor.’ Since then he has studied the genre extensively and has played forró with Xaxado Mission, Forró de Quintal, The Palouse Forró Experience, and with The University of Idaho Jazz Choir. He has played Forró gigs with various groups in Idaho, California, Texas, Europe, and South America.

Marcéu Lima grew up in a small town in Bahia, Brazil, where he has been influenced by his family that, for generations, has expressed their culture through rich musical manifestations. From a young age, Marcéu began practicing Capoeira and playing music with his family and his community. Marcéu is well-versed in wide range of musical styles from Reggae to Forró to traditional Afro-Brazilian Rhythms including Maracatu, Ijexá, Côco, Samba and much more. He recently moved to Santa Barbara, CA and is eager to begin a Percussion study group in order to spread his knowledge of this rich culture and to create a strong community around artistic and musical manifestations.
